Pamela Watara Tears Up Recalling How Her Best Friend Abandoned Her During Pregnancy
Ghanaian socialite Pamela Odame Watara recently opened up about the challenges she faced during her pregnancy, including the heartbreaking loss of her baby.
In an interview with Kumawood actress and TV host Gladys Mensah Boaku (Nayas 1) on Angel TV, Watara revealed that she was betrayed by a close friend she had allowed to stay in her home during her pregnancy.
Pamela Odame Watara revealed that her female friend, whose name she did not disclose, decided to leave Accra as soon as she found out Pamela was pregnant. Despite leaving some of her belongings in Pamela’s apartment, the friend stayed away throughout the pregnancy.
The socialite tearfully recounted how she had to undergo a Caesarean section (CS) to deliver her baby boy, who developed health complications after birth and was placed in the pediatric ward at the 37 Military Hospital.

Pamela Watara went on to explain that although she was discharged from the hospital, her newborn remained admitted. She decided to call her close friend to return home and assist her, as she was still recovering from the physical toll of the delivery.
Pamela Watara shared that her friend saw no value in being there for her during her pregnancy, ultimately disappearing from her life. The friend was absent throughout Pamela’s one-month hospital stay, the loss of her baby, and even during subsequent court appearances.
Pamela fell into depression due to the betrayal, feeling isolated and in desperate need of someone to talk to as she struggled with the pain of losing her baby shortly after delivery.
She revealed that she has yet to see her close friend face-to-face since the incident, adding that the experience has taught her valuable life lessons.
