Although he did not specify any award scheme, his statement has sparked discussions about who truly deserves the coveted Artiste of the Year title at the upcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
Many Ghanaians see King Paluta as a strong contender, considering his hard work, undeniable prominence, and immense popularity throughout 2024. His impact on the music scene has been significant, making him one of the leading names in the industry.
King Paluta’s impressive run in 2024, marked by the release of three hit songs—Aseda, Makoma, and Pop Champagne—alongside a full album and numerous performances at major concerts in Ghana and abroad, has solidified his place in the industry. His remarkable output and stage presence have captured the attention of music lovers, making him one of the most talked-about artistes of the year.
However, it’s worth noting that Stonebwoy has also garnered strong support from fans, given his impressive work in 2024. Likewise, King Promise, who was a serious contender for the award last year, remains in the conversation for the top prize.
The Artiste of the Year category at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards honors the artiste with the most popularity and audience appeal, as determined by the Academy, Board, and general public. To qualify, the artiste must have secured multiple nominations and released a successful single, EP, or album within the year.
As of now, the TGMA organizers have yet to announce this year’s nominations, leaving fans eager to see who will make the final cut.
