The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that its 2025 Annual National Delegates Conference will take place on Saturday, July 19, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium. The event will be held under the theme, “Rebuilding Together with Our Values.”

According to the party’s Director of Communications, Richard Ahiagbah, the theme underscores the NPP’s renewed commitment to unity, introspection, and reform as it works to restructure its internal framework and prepare strategically for the 2028 general elections.

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, Mr. Ahiagbah revealed that the conference will review significant proposed amendments to the party’s constitution. These include recommendations from the 2019 Delegates Conference in Kumasi and inputs from the Prof. Mike Oquaye Committee report.

“That report contains a comprehensive package of amendments,” he said, adding that the conference will deliberate on those proposals, alongside additional submissions from party members.

Although the 2019 reforms received approval at the time, Mr. Ahiagbah clarified that they are only now being formally submitted for adoption.

He described the upcoming conference as a pivotal moment for the party, offering a chance to transform the NPP into a more robust and forward-thinking political organization.

“The theme embodies our shared responsibility to strengthen the NPP by anchoring it in our foundational values,” he stated. “This conference is an opportunity to recalibrate and position the party for a more promising future.”

The conference agenda will also feature addresses from the National Chairman, a report by the General Secretary, and a financial statement presented by the National Treasurer.

Mr. Ahiagbah extended his gratitude to the conference planning committee, chaired by Hon. Joseph Osei-Owusu and supported by Henry Nana Boakye, for their dedicated efforts behind the scenes.

“We are grateful for their commitment and the support of many others whose behind-the-scenes work has made this possible,” he said.

The NPP also acknowledged the contributions of the Publications and Media Sub-Committee for their efforts in facilitating comprehensive media coverage and accessibility for the conference.
