NPP Sets January 31, 2026, For Presidential Primaries
The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Koduah, has announced that the party will hold its presidential primaries on January 31, 2026, to elect a flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.
He explained that the National Council adopted a proposal from the constitution review committee, which included the new date and related preparations.
“The date for our presidential primaries is set for January 31, 2026. Since there will be a proposal to amend our constitution, a planning committee has been formed,” Koduah said.
A nine-member committee, chaired by former Bekwai MP Joseph Osei Owusu, has been tasked with organizing the national delegates conference scheduled for July 2025.
