Nollywood Actor Jerry Williams, Suspended Over Drug Abuse
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has placed Nollywood actor Jerry Williams on indefinite suspension over his involvement with illicit drugs.
In a statement signed by AGN National President Emeka Rollas, the Guild said it had been keeping an eye on Jerry’s use of illegal substances since December last year until things got out of hand.
Further, he stated that in order to avoid any potential risk to other actors on set, the actor cannot be permitted to interact with fellow actors as things currently stand.

The statement reads;
“The Guild has been monitoring his involvement in illicit substances since December last year, until it got out of hand and as it is now, he cannot be allowed to associate with other performers on set due to danger. He ought to have been suspended before now. But we decided to allow him go through minor treatments, which he has been defaulting overtimes. But at it stands now, Jerry is a risk not only to himself but also, other actors who might be acting alongside him on set.
We, therefore, have decided to suspend him indefinitely until he gets a clean bill of health from a medical practitioner or a professional that handles drugs abuse.’’
Jerry Williams has starred in movies including Forbidden Love, Wanted By All, Way To My Heart, Two Hearts and Mine Forever alongside other notable Nollywood actors like Don Brymo, Chinenye Ubah, Frederick Leonard and Ebele Okaro.
