‘No Responsible Man Says He Won’t Provide, Because His Wife Earns More – Grace Ashly
Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician Grace Ashly has shared her thoughts on financial responsibility in marriage, emphasizing that a man’s duty to provide should not depend on his wife’s income.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime, Grace Ashly stated that it is unacceptable for any man to neglect his responsibilities at home simply because his wife earns more money.
“No responsible man says he won’t provide because his wife earns more,” she said firmly. “It doesn’t matter how much your wife makes; as a man, you still have a duty to take care of your home and fulfill your role as a provider.”
The gospel star explained that true leadership in marriage goes beyond financial power—it requires responsibility, care, and humility. She added that when men allow pride or insecurity to dictate their behavior, it often leads to tension and division in the home.
