New EOCO Leadership Requests Cecilia Dapaah’s Case Docket – Special Prosecutor Discloses

Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng has revealed that the new leadership of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), now headed by renowned investigative journalist Raymond Archer, has officially requested the case docket involving former Sanitation Minister Cecilia Dapaah.

Speaking at a press briefing on June 2, Mr. Agyebeng stated that the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has complied with the request and handed over a copy of the docket.

“By a letter dated 14 May 2025, the new EOCO leadership requested the OSP to forward the docket back for review and initiation of their own investigation. On 29 May 2025, the OSP transmitted a duplicate docket to EOCO,” Agyebeng noted.

He emphasized that the OSP views the docket as a valuable foundation for EOCO to begin investigations into aspects of the case that fall outside the OSP’s jurisdiction.

“It is our considered opinion that the docket serves as a valuable background resource for EOCO to commence its own investigation in respect of aspects of the case the OSP does not have a direct mandate. The OSP would lend its full collaborative support to EOCO in its review and investigation and probable further action,” he added.
