Mzbel Expresses Disappointment Over Being Snubbed For NDC Appointments

Ghanaian musician Mzbel has expressed disappointment over not being offered a position by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) despite her active support during their campaign.

She feels overlooked, especially as some colleagues have received appointments, and believes her sacrifices have gone unrecognized.

Mzbel also highlighted the challenges she faced due to her political stance, including public criticism and threats. She noted that while she would likely decline an official role to maintain her peace of mind and avoid public scrutiny, a gesture of acknowledgment from the party would have been appreciated.

This sentiment isn’t new for Mzbel. In 2018, she lamented the lack of support from the NDC after an accident, stating that none of the party members checked on her during her recovery.

Her recent comments underscore ongoing feelings of neglect by the party she has ardently supported.
