Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie recently addressed the controversy surrounding actress Yvonne Nelson’s memoir, which details their past relationship and an abortion.

In an interview with Angela Yee, he revealed that his wife, Tracy, was more concerned about his well-being than the circulating rumors. Tracy’s primary worry was how he was coping, especially since he was on tour at the time.

Sarkodie also discussed his response to Yvonne Nelson’s allegations. He chose to address the issue through his music, releasing the track “Try Me.” He explained that he prefers expressing his feelings through his art rather than engaging in media discussions, as he might lose his composure during interviews. He acknowledged that while he stands by his truth, there might have been a better way to convey his feelings.

The release of “Try Me” elicited varied reactions. Angela Yee expressed that she was hurt and taken aback by the song, describing it as harsh.
