My Song Saved Someone’s Marriage – Esther Smith
UK-based Ghanaian gospel musician Esther Smith has revealed how one of her songs helped save a troubled marriage.
Speaking on Showbiz A-Z with Joy FM’s Kwame Dadzie, Esther recalled a testimony from a man who confessed that her song “Ma Wonsan” stopped him from divorcing his wife.
“One gentleman told me, ‘Hey Esther, do you know that your song Ma Wonsan stopped me from divorcing my wife? It brought us back together,’” she recounted.
Esther explained that her songs are always spirit-led, adding that she goes through fasting and prayers before recording them to ensure they carry the power to transform lives.

Currently in Ghana, the award-winning gospel singer is set to host two major concerts—on August 25, 2024, at the Bantama Pentecost Church in Kumasi, and on August 30, 2024, in Accra.

The events will feature a star-studded lineup of gospel musicians, including Joe Beecham, Lady Prempeh, Morris Babyface, Randy Agyemang, Adom Kiki, Noble Nketsia, Mark Anim Yirenkyi, Nana Yaw Asare, Joyce Blessing, Oware Junior, and Minister OJ, among others.
