Award-winning gospel musician Diana Hamilton has opened up about the powerful story behind her hit song “Aha Ye,” revealing that the spirit-filled anthem was never planned.
Speaking in an interview on TV3 Ghana’s #TheAfternoonShow with Anita Akuffo, the celebrated singer shared that the song came unexpectedly during a moment of deep worship.
According to Diana Hamilton, she and legendary gospel minister Elder Mireku were worshipping together when inspiration struck.

“My song Aha Ye wasn’t planned. Elder Mireku and I were worshipping when it came to me,” she disclosed.
She explained that the song flowed naturally out of that atmosphere of praise, without prior writing sessions, production meetings, or structured preparation. What began as a spontaneous expression of gratitude and reverence has since grown into one of her most beloved songs, resonating deeply with audiences across Ghana and beyond.
