My Parents’ Death Wasn’t From God – Philipa Baafi
Gospel musician Philipa Baafi has opened up about the painful loss of her parents, stressing that their passing was not an act of God.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM, the Go High hitmaker explained that while she draws strength from her faith, she does not attribute the tragedy to divine will.

According to her, many people often assume that death is orchestrated by God, but she firmly believes that was not the case in her situation.
“My parents’ death wasn’t the Lord’s doing,” she said, adding that her faith helps her to focus on hope and healing rather than blame.
Philipa Baafi, who has been a strong voice in gospel music for decades, is admired for her ability to merge inspiring messages with uplifting rhythms. Her candid reflection on loss adds a deeper layer to her journey as both a musician and a woman of faith.

The interview has since sparked conversations among fans and gospel lovers, many of whom praised her for boldly sharing her perspective on such a sensitive matter.
