My Fight Against Corruption Is Not Limited To Recovering Loot From Former Government Appointees – Mahama

In a recent statement, Mahama emphasized that tackling corruption under his leadership would involve comprehensive reforms that target systemic abuse, enforce accountability, and strengthen institutions—not just targeting individuals from previous administrations.
“My fight against corruption is not limited to recovering loot from former government appointees,” Mahama stated. “It will be a holistic approach focused on prevention, transparency, and justice for all.”
Mahama further explained that his administration, if elected in 2024, would empower anti-corruption agencies with greater independence and resources to operate without fear or favor. He also promised legislative reforms to enhance public sector accountability and ensure that whistleblowers are protected.
Mahama’s comments appear to be a direct response to critics who have questioned the depth of his anti-corruption stance. His message signals a broader strategy to restore public trust and clean up government institutions.
