The suspects were linked to two aluminum smelting companies in Shai Hills, where cables believed to be part of the missing consignment were being melted into aluminum bars for export.
Investigators traced the missing cables to an aluminum smelter owned by the Chinese nationals, located opposite the Shai Hills Game Reserve. The operation led to the apprehension of the suspects as part of ongoing efforts to recover the missing ECG equipment.
Authorities have launched a manhunt for another Chinese suspect who remains at large. This development follows earlier reports of over 1,300 ECG containers missing from Tema Port, prompting a forensic investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding their disappearance.
