Ministry Is Not A Business, Don’t Serve For Money – Dag Heward-Mills
Founder and Presiding Bishop of the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UD-OLGC), Dag Heward-Mills, has delivered a thought-provoking message to his congregation, reminding pastors and church workers that ministry is not a business and should never be driven by money.
Speaking during a church service, Bishop Heward-Mills emphasized that true ministry is about serving God and people with a pure heart, not seeking personal gain or financial rewards.
“Ministry is not a business. Don’t serve for money,” he cautioned. “If money becomes your motivation, you will lose the true purpose of why God called you.”
He explained that those who treat ministry as a business risk compromising their calling and may eventually drift away from their spiritual assignment. Instead, he encouraged ministers to focus on faithfulness, sacrifice, and obedience, trusting that God will provide for their needs in His own time.
