Marriage Isn’t A Competition, One Should Be Well-Prepared Before Entering Into It – Prophet Eric Boahen
Renowned man of God, Prophet Eric Boahen, has advised individuals, especially the youth, to approach marriage with maturity and readiness rather than seeing it as a race or competition.
Speaking on the UCook Show with Empress Gifty on UTV, Prophet Boahen stressed that many marriages today face challenges because people enter into them without proper preparation emotionally, spiritually, and financially.
“Marriage is not a competition. It’s not something you rush into because your friends are getting married or because of pressure from society. One must be well-prepared before making that commitment,” he said.
According to him, marriage requires patience, understanding, and the willingness to sacrifice. He explained that couples must first understand themselves and be ready to support each other through challenges rather than focusing only on the excitement of the wedding day.
Prophet Boahen also cautioned that rushing into marriage without purpose or preparation often leads to regret and broken homes.
