Kejetia Market left in fire remains
Late Wednesday afternoon on the 15th of March did a drastic incident occur in Kumasi. Reports have it that, fire cremated some parts of the new market in Kejetia which is a central market in Kumasi.
Unclear as to the exact cause of the fire outbreak, it was a devastating one.
The ambulance service rushed to assist with emergency first aid and transfer anyone who might have suffered serious injuries to the hospital as according to accounts, one person lost consciousness while others who were trapped in some shops were extricated from the building’s highest point.

The blazing fire destroyed goods and stores worth millions of cedis.
In order to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to other areas, several fire tenders were dispatched to the site.
