Judgement Is Meant To Correct And Improve You, Not To Offend You — Dag Heward-Mills Urges
In a video posted on his official Twitter page, founder of the Lighthouse Chapel International, Dag Heward-Mills, delivered a powerful message to his congregation during a church service, stressing that judgment should be seen as a tool for growth rather than a source of offense.
Preaching to members, Bishop Dag Heward-Mills explained that many believers misunderstand the purpose of correction. According to him, judgment when given in the right spirit is meant to correct, guide, and improve a person’s life, not to hurt their feelings.
“Judgement is meant to correct and improve you, not to offend you,” he urged, encouraging Christians to develop maturity when receiving rebuke or guidance.

He noted that in both spiritual and everyday life, correction plays an essential role in shaping character and building discipline. Rather than reacting with anger or resentment, he advised believers to reflect and learn whenever they are corrected.

The respected preacher further emphasized that growth often requires humility. He encouraged his congregation to examine themselves when faced with criticism instead of immediately becoming defensive.
