A US court has officially approved the decision of Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia4Reall, to proceed with her self-deportation.The Ghanaian socialite was sentenced to 12 months in prison at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia after she pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges related to receiving stolen funds.

On November 1, 2024, Hajia4Reall’s legal team, Fast Law, filed a formal request for the necessary document to begin the self-deportation process.

The legal team argued that obtaining the document was a crucial step to facilitate her return to Ghana after serving her sentence. According to court records, prosecutors did not object to the application, allowing the process to move forward smoothly.

After careful review, US District Judge J. Paul Oetken granted the request and ordered that the passport be handed over to her attorneys.
