Award-winning gospel singer Piesie Esther has weighed in on the discussion, making it clear that she sees nothing wrong with gospel artistes working with secular musicians.

Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Monday, September 15, 2025, Piesie Esther explained that what truly matters is the message and impact of the song, not the background of the collaborators.
She pointed to her hit song Nyame Ye as an example, revealing that highlife star Kuami Eugene played a major role in its creation. Eugene not only helped with the lyrics but also contributed to the beats, sounds, and overall arrangement, shaping the song into a masterpiece.

“When you work with Kuami Eugene, you won’t even notice that he’s a secular musician. He loves God and His work. So long as the song can win souls and promote the kingdom, he deserves all the credit,” she said.
Piesie Esther praised Kuami Eugene’s commitment and excellence, stating that he went above and beyond to deliver a top-notch production.
“He really outdid himself for me, and I was overwhelmed with how beautiful the song turned out,” she added.
