Gospel musician Cwesi Oteng has made a surprising revelation, claiming credit for naming celebrated Ghanaian gospel artiste MOGmusic.

Speaking in an interview on Shobiz TV, Cwesi Oteng disclosed that he played a significant role in shaping the identity of the award-winning singer, who has become one of the leading voices in contemporary gospel music.
According to Cwesi Oteng, the inspiration behind the name “MOGmusic” came during their early interactions, long before the artiste gained prominence on both the local and international gospel scene.

“I was the one who gave him the name MOGmusic,” Cwesi Oteng stated confidently, adding that it was a name he believed would perfectly represent the ministry and global vision of the artiste.
MOGmusic, born Nana Yaw Boakye, has since risen to become one of Ghana’s most recognized gospel ministers, winning multiple awards and collaborating with renowned international gospel acts. His spirit-filled songs, including Be Lifted and Living God, have cemented his place as a household name in gospel music circles.
