Celebrated gospel musician Joe Mettle has described Edwin Dadson as the most underrated gospel songwriter in Ghana, calling attention to his exceptional gift and contribution to Christian music.

Joe Mettle made the statement during an interview on Hitz FM’s HitzPraiseZone with host Nii Noi, where the award-winning artiste shared his thoughts on songwriting and the men behind some of the most impactful gospel songs.
According to Joe Mettle, Edwin Dadson is not just a songwriter but a deeply intentional gospel writer whose lyrics are rooted in scripture, worship, and spiritual depth.

“Edwin Dadson is a serious songwriter,” Joe Mettle stated, emphasizing that his work carries strong messages that minister to the soul, even though he does not always receive the recognition he deserves.

He explained that many gospel songs that have blessed lives over the years were written by gifted individuals who often remain behind the scenes, with Edwin Dadson being a prime example.
In the same interview, Joe Mettle also mentioned Kofi Karikari, describing him as one of the best gospel writers in the country. He praised his lyrical strength and consistency in delivering spirit-filled compositions that resonate with worshippers.
