I Slept In My Studio For Nearly 3 Years – Perez Musik Recounts Struggles

Ghanaian gospel singer and songwriter Perez Musik has opened up about the tough journey he endured before achieving success in the music industry

Speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio on Hitz FM, Perez revealed that he went through a long period of hardship, during which he had to sleep in his studio for almost three years.

According to him, those years were marked by sacrifice, resilience, and an unwavering belief in his calling and passion for music.

“For about three years, I was sleeping in my studio,” he recounted. “It wasn’t easy, but I knew that if I remained consistent, things would eventually turn around. That period built me and shaped my faith.”

Perez Musik added that his struggles taught him valuable lessons about patience, humility, and perseverance.

“Sometimes, people only see the glory but don’t know the story behind it. The sleepless nights, the hunger, and the loneliness — all those things were part of the process,” he shared.

The ‘Hewale Lala’ hitmaker encouraged young musicians and creatives not to give up on their dreams, emphasizing that dedication and persistence will eventually yield results.

Today, Perez Musik stands as one of Ghana’s celebrated gospel artists, inspiring many with his music and testimony of faith, hard work, and endurance.
