Upon noticing this, Agradaa demands all the money instead of just a portion. She is then seen grabbing the cash from his hands, proudly displaying the bundles to onlookers while exclaiming, “I have taken dollars from Sammy Gyamfi.”

In a follow-up video, Agradaa elaborated on the encounter:

“John Dramani Mahama will be president for 8 years. After everything I did to JM and the NDC, when I met Sammy Gyamfi, he didn’t sack me. He welcomed and embraced me… And when he was leaving, I asked him for money. He went into his car and gave me dollars. I asked him for fuel, and he gave me $800. I need more! Sammy Gyamfi has won my heart with that gesture. Today it’s my turn, tomorrow will be your turn, so don’t be angry or envious.”

The incident has sparked considerable public backlash, prompting Sammy Gyamfi to issue a public apology. In his statement, he expressed deep regret, describing the act as an unfortunate lapse in judgment. He explained that gifting money to those in need has always been a personal custom and that this instance was no different.
