Ghanaian actress and television personality Nana Ama McBrown has candidly shared her journey to motherhood, highlighting her experiences with infertility and the path she took to conceive at the age of 41.

In a recent interview on the Diva Doc Let’s Talk podcast, McBrown opened up about the emotional challenges she faced while focusing on her career without having children. She recounted moments of distress, questioning whether she would ever become a mother as she watched her peers start families.

Determined to embrace motherhood, McBrown explored medical options and was presented with the choice between In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and surrogacy. She opted for IVF, expressing her willingness to undergo multiple attempts if necessary. Fortunately, she successfully gave birth just before turning 42.

Reflecting on her journey, McBrown expressed no regrets about prioritizing her career before having children, stating, “I chased my dreams, and I’m grateful for the path I took.” She emphasized her pride in being a mother and her appreciation for the timing of her motherhood experience.
