She revealed that she experienced a spiritual attack during the attempt, which affected her, but she persevered until the end.
Afua Asantewaa further disclosed that before embarking on the challenge, she sought both physical and spiritual support. However, it did not help much, as her level of spirituality at the time was low.
“Sometimes social media comments can go a long way. During my first attempt, it affected me. The challenges were many. They were spiritual. Physically, everyone knew I was going to sing so I was exercising but with the first one, I would say that I was spiritually weak. I prayed. We even got a pastor to come and pray for us but the fight in singathon is not easy. I am speaking based on my experience,” she said
Afua Asantewaa questioned why certain individuals would attempt to spiritually sabotage her Guinness World Record singathon attempt, especially when she was not gaining any financial benefits from it.
She revealed that due to ongoing spiritual attacks, she and her spouse undertook a strict fast to prevent any challenges during her second attempt in Kumasi.
Her remarks come after successfully completing her second singathon, which lasted over five days and exceeded 120 hours. She began the challenge on December 21, 2024, and concluded it on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
