I Don’t Employ Ga People As They Are Too Lazy – Mzbel
Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has stated that despite her deep connections to the Ga community, she deliberately avoids hiring individuals from the tribe.
Speaking on the Showbiz A-Z program, where the discussion focused on strengthening support among Ga-Adangbe people, Mzbel—who grew up in Accra Central and is fluent in the Ga language—revealed that her hiring experiences have shaped this decision.
According to her, past employees from the Ga community have often exhibited a lack of dedication, frequently missing work after just a few days. Many, she claims, cite reasons such as attending funerals or other social events.
She further observed that many young Ga individuals seem disinterested in maintaining stable employment, often taking jobs due to parental pressure but ultimately failing to commit, leading to their dismissal.
