Ghanaian musician Chief One has recently asserted that he was the pioneer in introducing the Amapiano genre to Ghana’s music scene. In various interviews and social media posts, he has emphasized his role in bringing this South African sound to the forefront of Ghanaian music.
During an appearance on Y107.9FM’s #RyseNShyne show, Chief One stated, “I brought Amapiano to Ghana.” He reiterated this claim in an interview with Kasapa FM, highlighting his early adoption and promotion of the genre within the country.
