Although officially declared dead, Aya RamzyB, a musician from Takoradi, firmly believes that hiplife artist Castro is still alive.

In an interview on Daybreak Hitz, RamzyB argued that the absence of a body or solid proof does not imply that Castro has died.

“Castro is alive! The phrase ‘Rest in Peace to Castro’ should be forgotten! He’s still out there, Castro is still here. If you haven’t seen him, don’t claim something has happened to him,” he asserted.

He continued, “I, RamzyB, know and believe Castro is alive, and he will return. I believe he’s in another country and still living.”

Castro’s disappearance happened ten years ago, and under Ghana’s Evidence Act of 1975, a person can be legally declared dead if they remain missing for seven years without being located.

On July 6, 2014, Castro and his friend Janet Bandu were involved in a Jet Ski accident at Ada Estuary while vacationing with Asamoah Gyan and his brother Baffour Gyan.

Although the Jet Ski was recovered on the same day, their bodies were never found, despite a thorough police search.

This incident has sparked a decade-long debate, with some believing that Castro and Janet Bandu tragically lost their lives, while others, including Castro’s father and musician Aya RamzyB, are convinced that the “Toffee” singer is still alive.
