Gov’t Declares 3-Day Mourning; Flags To Fly Half-Mast For Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings
President John Dramani Mahama has declared a three-day national mourning period from Friday, October 24 to Sunday, October 26, 2025 in honour of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
During this period, all national flags will fly at half-mast across Ghana and at diplomatic missions abroad.
A statement signed by Minister for Government Communications, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, said the decision was made to honour Mrs. Agyeman-Rawlings’s exceptional service to the nation, particularly her work in women’s empowerment, child welfare, and social development.

The government extended its condolences to her family and loved ones.
Tributes continue to pour in nationwide, with both the NPP and the Majority Caucus in Parliament describing her passing as a great national loss.
Mrs. Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings is remembered for her lifelong advocacy for women’s rights and her leadership of the 31st December Women’s Movement.
