Labour Minister Dr. Rashid Pelpuo announced on Thursday, February 20, 2025, that the daily minimum wage has been increased to GHS 19.97.

This adjustment follows demands from organized labour for better wages amid ongoing economic pressures. It marks the second salary revision in less than a year, after a 23% increase in 2024 aimed at easing the impact of the rising cost of living.

The agreement is expected to offer some relief to public sector employees as the country continues to manage its economic challenges.
