Gospel Songstress Empress Gifty And Evangelist Mama Pat Appear In Court Today
Gospel songstress Empress Gifty Adorye and self-styled evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa or Mama Pat, appeared at the Tema High Court today in relation to a defamation lawsuit filed by Gifty, who is seeking GH₵20 million in damages for alleged slander and libel arising from social media videos and livestreams.
She is also requesting a perpetual injunction restraining Agradaa from making further defamatory remarks and an order for the removal of all such content from online platforms.
Court documents filed on May 20, 2025 by Gifty’s legal team, Osei Aidoh Akpokavie & Co, state that Agradaa has eight days to respond or risk a default judgment, and she is being asked to cover legal costs and have the offending videos and audios deleted.

Entertainment analyst Afia “Vim Lady” Pokuaa has suggested that Empress Gifty holds a strong case, noting that Agradaa’s allegations—such as claims of prostitution and improper relationships may be difficult to substantiate without evidence Meanwhile, Agradaa has downplayed the suit, dismissing it as an empty threat in a defiant social media response.
