Ghana School of Law students donate to Child Health Dep’t -Korle-Bu
The Concerned Students and the Students Representative Council (SRC) of Ghana School of Law donated an amount of GH¢8,000 to the office of the Occupational Therapy of Child Health Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The idea of the donation was initiated by Mr. Moris Adjei, a parent whose son has been receiving therapy with the unit for some time now.
A letter of request asking for support to set up a sensory room was given out to parents.
Mr Adjei shared this with his colleagues at the Ghana School of Law.
The students led by the S.R.C. President, Odupong Agyapong Atta-Agyapong, made the donation to the office of the Occupational Therapy.
In his address, he thanked Mr. Moris Adjei for initiating the project and granting the students of the Ghana School of Law the opportunity to give towards this important project.
He said children are the gift from God who demand everyone’s utmost care.
He was accompanied by the Executive of the Welfare Committee, Elliott Kwabena Ocloo, Academic Committee Chairman,Joel Oheneba Afari-Acquah and Welfare members Anita Twumasi and Moris Adjei.
The cash donation was received by the Administrator of Child Health, Madam Esther Tetteh, the Occupational Therapists, Nancy Agyei and Elizabeth Miretina Oti and the representative from the PR Unit.
