Fuel Prices In Ghana Drop For The Second Consecutive Time, Bringing Relief To Consumers
Fuel prices in Ghana have decreased for the second consecutive time, providing much-needed relief to consumers. In mid-February 2025, major Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) like Total Energies and Shell reduced petrol and diesel prices to GH¢15.99 per liter, down from GH¢16.15 and GH¢16.09, respectively.

This downward trend is expected to continue into mid-March 2025. The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) projects further reductions in fuel prices during this period, attributing the anticipated decline to a marginal dip in global oil prices.
These consecutive price drops are attributed to a decline in crude oil prices on the international market and other market dynamics influencing local pricing.
The sustained reduction in fuel prices is expected to alleviate the financial burden on consumers and stimulate economic activities across various sectors.
