Fuel Prices Expected to Drop Sharply from November 1 – COMAC
Ghanaians are likely to see a major drop in fuel prices starting November 1, 2025, according to the latest report from the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC).
Expected Price Changes
-
Petrol: May drop by about 5.2%, from GH¢13.93 to around GH¢12.92 per litre.
-
Diesel: Could fall between 6% and 8%, reducing prices to about GH¢13.10 from GH¢14.56.
-
LPG: Expected to decline by roughly 6.7%, bringing prices down to GH¢13.60 per kilogram.
This would be the biggest fuel price cut in 2025. Some oil companies might adjust their prices this weekend, while others may wait a few days.

Why Prices Are Dropping
COMAC attributes the expected drop to falling global oil prices and a stronger cedi. The cedi appreciated by about 11% in October, while crude oil prices fell to around $62.82 per barrel — their lowest in five months.
Prices of refined products like petrol, diesel, and LPG also declined slightly on the world market.
Impact on Ghanaians
The reduction is expected to lower transport fares and help slow inflation. Economists say this could bring some relief to consumers by reducing the overall cost of living.
