FBI: Court Grants Kofi Boat 10 Days To Organise Documents For Extradition Case
Kofi Boat appeared before an Accra Magistrate Court on June 26, 2025, in connection with the high-profile FBI fraud saga, where U.S. authorities allege he defrauded a tech entrepreneur of US $100 million.

During the hearing, his legal team requested a 14-day extension to compile essential documents ahead of extradition proceedings, but the court granted him 10 days, setting a mid-July deadline for submission.
In related developments, the extradition case has been adjourned to July 1, 2025, giving both sides time to prepare for the next hearing. Additionally, recent court filings indicate that FBI records show the amount involved in the allegations may be significantly lower under $300,000 according to filings from Frederick Asante, a close associate accused of making payments on Boat’s behalf.
