Speaking in an interview with Halifax Ansah-Addo yesterday on Okay FM, Ewura Abena revealed that the song was birthed out of deep personal experiences and moments of reflection on God’s faithfulness through life’s toughest challenges.
According to her, “Only I Know” was written during a difficult season when she felt misunderstood and overlooked, yet held firmly to her faith in God’s plan.

Ewura Abena also shared a fascinating detail about how the song came to life. She said she began hearing a melody and rhythm in her head and wanted to incorporate Ga lyrics into the composition.
“I was hearing a beat in my head and trying to figure out what to add in Ga. I quickly went online and typed ‘Only I Know,’ and I found exactly what fit perfectly for the song,” she recounted with excitement.
She described the recording process as emotional yet fulfilling, as each lyric reminded her of God’s grace and strength through challenging moments.

The track “Only I Know” forms part of her ‘Grace Overflow’ EP, a six-track collection celebrating divine mercy, hope, and resilience.
