On January 26th, gospel musician Empress Gifty made a generous donation of GHS 10,000 to the final-year students of Aburi Girls Senior High School. The donation is aimed at supporting the students as they prepare for their final exams and assist with their school-related expenses.

Known for her philanthropic efforts, Empress Gifty expressed her deep commitment to education and the well-being of students. She encouraged the students to remain focused and determined in their studies, assuring them that the investment in their education would yield great returns in the future.

The school’s administration and the students were grateful for her timely support. Empress Gifty’s act of kindness has not only provided financial assistance but also served as a morale booster for the students as they approach their exams.

Accompanying Empress Gifty were several renowned women, including Her Excellency Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang (Vice President, Republic of Ghana), Prof. Koryoe Anim-Wright (Former Registrar, UPSA & Accra Global President), and Hon. Lawrencia Dzwornu (MP, Akuapem South Constituency), among others. Their presence added prestige to the occasion and highlighted the collective support for education and women’s empowerment in Ghana.

In addition to this charitable gesture, the school recently celebrated the 78th Speech and Prize Giving Day. The 1999 year group played a key role in the celebration, marking an important milestone for the institution. On Friday, January 24th, 2025, they commissioned the “AOGA ‘99 LEGACY PROJECT,” which included the refurbishment of the Irene Anderson Kitchen and Dining Hall and the provision of a 40-foot cold room storage. This significant contribution took place at the Irene Anderson Compound at Aburi Girls Senior High School. These improvements will greatly enhance the school’s facilities, providing students with a more conducive environment.
