Ghanaian blogger and humanitarian Kobby Kyei has advised young content creators not to measure their success by the number of likes or comments they get on social media.

Speaking on The Career Trail show on Joy Learning TV and Joy News, Kobby Kyei explained that true digital impact goes beyond surface-level engagement.

“How many times have you seen something online that you really liked but didn’t comment on or react to? It happens every day,” he said. “So, if I post about a donation and wait for your comment to validate my work, I’ll never move forward.”

He encouraged creators to focus on deeper metrics instead, saying, “A post might have just a few likes but could reach 20,000 or even 50,000 people. Why should likes and comments define success?”

According to him, many young bloggers lose motivation when they don’t get instant engagement, but that attitude limits growth.

“The world is watching you. Don’t let your surroundings discourage you. Coming from a poor background doesn’t mean you’re stuck. In this digital age, people across the globe could be following your work without you knowing,” he added.

For Kobby Kyei, real success lies in consistency, impact, and global influence not just online popularity.
