Don’t Be In A Hurry To Marry – Rev. Obofour Advises Young People
The General Overseer of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), Rev. Isaac Obofour, has cautioned young people against yielding to pressure to marry prematurely.

Expressing concern over an emerging trend, Rev. Obofour noted that some churches not only urge their members to marry early but also go as far as arranging marriages within the congregation.

Delivering a sermon, he advised, “Don’t be in a hurry to marry; such an important decision should never be taken lightly. If you make a mistake the first time, there’s no guarantee you’ll get another chance.”
He further warned that individuals should not allow their churches to influence or dictate their choice of a life partner, emphasizing that the church often distances itself when marital challenges arise.

“Don’t let the church pressure you into marrying someone simply because they’re a church member. If the marriage fails, the church won’t be the one to bear the pain,” he cautioned.
Rev. Obofour also urged the youth to exercise discernment in relationships, stressing that appearances can be deceiving.
“Some men in the church may look like perfect husbands, but don’t be misled. Being in the church doesn’t automatically make someone the right partner. The church teaches good values, but it’s your responsibility to ensure the person you choose truly lives by them,” he advised.
