The couple first met in Madrid when Rodríguez was working at a Gucci store, during Ronaldo’s time at Real Madrid. They share two children together, including their youngest daughter Bella, born in April 2022 alongside a twin son who was sadly stillborn. Rodríguez has also played a key role in raising Ronaldo’s three other children.

The 31-year-old model and Netflix reality star (I Am Georgina) had previously brushed off speculation about an engagement, joking that her friends often teased her about “the wedding” even referencing Jennifer Lopez’s song The Ring.

Following the announcement, celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Charlotte Tilbury, and Lauren Sánchez-Bezos sent their congratulations, while broadcaster Piers Morgan wished the couple a marriage “as successful as Ronaldo’s football career.”

Currently living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo plays for Al-Nassr, the couple’s engagement comes months after the Portuguese star extended his contract with the club until 2027  securing what’s reported to be one of the most lucrative deals in sports history.
