Crime Scene at Accra Mall Forex Bureau

Mid-day Monday on the 27th of February, 2023, a robbery act occurred at the Accra Mall Forex bureau as an amount of $1,600 was stolen in the act. This act was committed by two people who are believed to be suspects.

These people in question were customers who actually hid under the supposed grounds of wanting to change some money and in the course of they being serviced they stole the said amount of dollars from the counter at the unsighted side of the attendant.

The attendant quickly went after them upon noticing the money was ‘gone’ but the two hurriedly sat in a car that was already waiting for them and it drove off.

The police however is on an intense search for these culprits with investigations also being carried out.

“We would like to urge the general public, especially operators of forex bureaux to be vigilant and where necessary report any suspicious activities to the police, as this could be a new approach adopted by criminals to steal from unsuspecting persons,” a statement by the Police said on Monday February 27.

The footages of the suspects below were obtained by the mall’s CCTV cameras, and anyone with pertinent information on the suspects should contact 0200416540 for further Police action.
