An agreement was reached yesterday after a closed-door hearing between the two.
The dispute stemmed from a widely circulated video in which Lilwin allegedly made derogatory remarks about Ankomah’s profession.
Believing the remarks were harmful to her reputation, Martha Ankomah rejected Lilwin’s initial public apology in December 2024 and opted for legal action instead.
In her lawsuit, she demanded GHC 5 million in damages, compensation for reputational harm, additional damages for the nature of the defamatory remarks, and a formal apology and retraction with equal visibility.

Following the court hearing, it has been decided that Lilwin will pay GHC 300,000 to Martha Ankomah for defaming her, allegedly over her refusal to feature in a movie he was producing.
In a available video, Martha Ankomah is seen leaving the courtroom alongside her lawyers, visibly excited.
