Cina Soul Seeks Police Help Over Death Threats From Big Akwes
Ghanaian singer Cina Soul has expressed deep fear for her life after actor and media personality Big Akwes made disturbing and violent remarks about her on live television, sparking public outrage.

During a segment of a “Kiss, Marry, or Kill” challenge, Big Akwes shockingly stated he would kill Cina Soul, going on to graphically describe a gruesome fantasy involving stabbing her with knives in both hands, drinking her blood, and eating her intestines comments he disturbingly framed as self-glorifying.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Cina Soul tagged the Ghana Police Service and MP Sam George, expressing serious alarm over the threat.
“@GhPoliceService I’m deeply unsettled by this… I chose not to react earlier, but now I feel genuinely threatened,” she wrote.
“I may not know the proper channels to report this, but we must not normalize hate. Dangerous rhetoric like this should not be aired.”
Her plea has drawn strong public support, with fans, celebrities, and rights advocates calling for Big Akwes’ immediate arrest and sanctions against the media house that aired the segment.

As of now, the Ghana Police Service has yet to issue a formal response, but pressure is mounting for swift action to protect Cina Soul and crack down on incitement in media content.
