Chelsea Open Talks To Sign Ghana International Antoine Semenyo In January
Chelsea have reportedly begun early discussions to sign Ghana international Antoine Semenyo in the January transfer window.
According to The Athletic, the Premier League giants originally planned to strengthen their attack in the summer but have now contacted Semenyo’s representatives to see if a January move is possible.

The 25-year-old Bournemouth forward is also on the radar of several top English clubs, including Tottenham, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool. Semenyo is under contract with Bournemouth until 2030, with a £65 million release clause that becomes active in January.
Semenyo has started the 2025–26 season strongly, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in 16 league matches.

Bournemouth reportedly valued the attacker at £70 million in the summer, but the January release clause lowers the price to £65 million. The clause has a fixed activation period, giving the club limited time to secure a replacement if he leaves.
If Bournemouth turn down offers in January, a similar clause could be triggered in a future transfer window—possibly at a lower fee.
