Branding Isn’t Buying A Rolls Royce; Invest In Your Career – Blakk Rasta
Blakk Rasta has urged Ghanaian musicians to prioritize investing in their careers rather than splurging on luxury items like Rolls Royce and mansions.
Speaking on United Showbiz on February 22, 2025, he emphasized that true branding and strategic investment in their craft are essential for gaining international recognition. He noted that many Ghanaian artistes hesitate to put money into their careers but expect global success. According to him, raising the bar and building a strong brand will ensure longevity and respect in the music industry.
“Branding is not about buying Rolls Royce alone, branding is not about acquiring house alone, spend on your career. It is not by force to buy Rolls Royce,” Blakk Rasta stated.
Blakk Rasta further applauded gospel musician Sonnie Badu for his dedication and investment in his career, highlighting him as an example of an artiste who understands the importance of branding and strategic growth. He emphasized that such efforts contribute to long-term success and international recognition.
He urged Ghanaian artistes to take inspiration from Sonnie Badu, emphasizing that strategic investment in their craft is essential for growth and sustainability in the music industry.
“Look at Sonnie Badu’s recent concert. Did you see the number of people he paraded on stage? If he is having a show in the UK, look at the kind of people he parades on stage.
“Do you think he makes profits from all the shows he organises? He loses in a lot of them, but the brand is going to be tight. As for us, we would buy Rolls-Royce,” he added.
