Karim Benzema has reached an agreement on a lucrative three-year deal with Saudi Arabian champions Al-Ittihad days after parting ways with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The financial terms of the agreement are staggering, with Benzema set to earn an astounding net salary of almost €200 million per season, inclusive of commercial deals.
After an illustrious career spanning 14 years at Real Madrid, where he won a remarkable 25 trophies, including five UEFA Champions League titles and four La Liga championships, Benzema’s departure from the Spanish giants was mutually agreed upon.

The club allowed him to leave his contract one year early, paving way for him to join Al-Ittihad.
“Al Ittihad is a new challenge for me. It’s a good league and there are many good players,” Benzema said.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is already here, he is a friend who shows that Saudi Arabia is starting to get ahead and I am here to win as I did in Europe.”
Benzema had a significant impact for Real Madrid, scoring 354 goals. His tally of goals ranks him second only to the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo among the club’s all-time leading scorers.
