Ashanti Regional Minister Donates 20,000 Cedis To Kumawood Movie Directors & Producers

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has generously supported Kumawood actors, directors, producers, and actresses with a financial gift of 20,000 Cedis.

This follows a scheduled meeting on February 18, where the minister engaged with key stakeholders in the Kumawood film industry to discuss the challenges leading to its decline. The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue, allowing industry players to express their concerns and suggest ways to revive the once-thriving local film industry.

During the discussion, directors and producers outlined various issues affecting Kumawood, including financial constraints, lack of government support, piracy, and changing audience preferences.
