Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, founder of Action Chapel International, has issued a scathing spiritual response to Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), after the latter allegedly accused him of paying bishops to pray for former President John Mahama’s re-election.

In a viral sermon clip shared on social media, Duncan-Williams denied the claims, condemning them as lies and invoking a judgmental prayer against those spreading falsehoods. “Let their honour turn into dishonour. Let their access become scandal. Let their defences depart, and let them be disinherited by another,” he declared to his congregation.

The Archbishop was reacting to Abronye’s claims that he had gathered 25 bishops and given them $10,000 each to pray for Mahama to secure another term in office. Duncan-Williams strongly refuted the allegation, asserting that if he wanted to pray for any leader, he didn’t need to bribe clergy to do so.  “You think I am a kid? If I believed that, I would say it publicly. The constitution doesn’t even allow another term. Why fabricate such nonsense?” he said.

He also challenged the culture of public misinformation, expressing frustration over the ease with which false narratives gain traction online. “I’m not afraid of you or your party. I’ve been quiet for years, watching. But enough is enough,” he added.
