Sources familiar with the process say the legal document was served at Agradaa’s residence and received by her husband. However, instead of acknowledging or forwarding the summons for legal attention, he allegedly left the document on the floor and walked away.

The summons pertains to a lawsuit filed by Empress Gifty, who accuses Agradaa of making defamatory and vulgar statements about her during a live broadcast. The gospel singer is seeking GH₵20 million in damages, a public apology, and a court injunction to bar Agradaa from making further defamatory remarks.

This latest development raises questions about whether Agradaa and her legal team plan to formally respond to the suit. The controversy follows Agradaa’s earlier public dismissal of the legal action, during which she reportedly said, “Any idiot can go to court.”

Legal experts caution that failing to properly respond to a court summons can lead to serious consequences, including a default judgment in favor of the plaintiff. The case is expected to return to court in the coming weeks for further proceedings.
